We first “met” at a dance club called Sting. We are both salsa dancers and Sting was having an event here. We have mutual freinds and at one point the DF played a hip-hop song. Liz came over and danced with me and her friends. Then she walked off. We didn’t actually talk until maybe a month later. She doesn’t remember dancing with me. Ha 🙂

I knew he is the one the second week. It was a Wednesday. I just knew.

It wasn’t one moment until I knew she is the one. It was a series of moments!

K1024_8_10 (101)

Before the proposal I was pretty nervous. It is a life changing moment that changes your direction.

K1024_8_10 (16)

Liz is a genuinely nice person, and cares about others. I couldn’t marry someone who was gossipy or mean spirited.

Jason has a good heart and is kind, and he is so goofy! He makes me laugh!

K1024_8_10 (118)

Jason stuffs his shoes with old ratty paper. It is weird. Ok not all of it is old, but some of it is.

Liz is cold when it is 75 degrees. She gets cold when it isn’t even cold.

K1024_Or (2)

Besides getting married I am looking forward to share the day and moment with family and friends and also to the first bride and groom dance.

I am looking forward to eating my best friend’s wedding cake. She is making it for me.

To understand the story you first have to understand me…(Sean).
I’ve always been a very laid back person that usually doesn’t approach someone, I wait for them to come to me.  Not scared of rejection but seeing a beautiful woman like Ryann, I couldn’t help but think that she probably has guys throwing themselves at her daily, so I want to give her the respect needed by leaving her alone…

One night in the year 2009, I attended a birthday party for a friend of mine at a local pub.  There were around 50-60 people total there, but only one stood out to me.  There was this little blonde hair beauty with the self esteem to over power the shyest of shy.  She walked in like she owned the place, with her head held high and confidence surrounding her like a cloud.  And it wasn’t a cocky walk, it was a, “this is who I am, like it or turn your head.”  I couldn’t help but continue to watch this thing of beauty as she walked up to “our” group of friends.  The night carried on like any other night, laughing, joking, dancing, and some singing.  Except this time there was a new face that was catching my attention constantly.  She was the center of attention, she was the life of the party, everyone was watching her, well I was at least.  There was a time during the night where my dream had come true, she walked over to me, as I notice her approaching I’m thinking to myself, “don’t spill your drink, it’s only a girl, she won’t bite, (found out later she does), stay calm!!”   There was no “hello” nor “hi”, just a simple, “can I borrow your lighter?”  Whew, escaped a bullet there.  I wasn’t ready to speak to a girl with such conviction, such unknowing power.

I continued to watch her throughout the night, then the dream was over, she was gone.  The only thing I had was a thought that I carried around for two years, “I could marry that girl!!!!”

Two years later, August 20th 2011, I was with some of my buddies and one of their wives was having a girls night at a little bar across town.  We all debated on crashing it or going our own way.  Well we decided to crash it!  It was just a normal night for us guys, fantasy football draft that day, a little beer drinking that night.  I went to the bar to grab a round for the guys and two steps to my left standing there with the same cloud of confidence, wearing cutoff jean shorts, a little kids shirt, and some cowboys boots, was the girl of my dreams.  When I saw her it was like nothing else mattered, the music faded, the crowd went mute, the lights dimmed, but not around her, it felt like we were the only ones at the bar.  Well it felt like that to me, she still didn’t know who I was or even if I existed.

The night went on, while playing some darts I notice her pass through a walk way, it was then I thought to myself, “I’m not letting her get away twice.”  I then turned to my friend and said, “I have to meet her, who is that?”  He then proceeded to call her over.  Hands getting sweaty, throat was getting clogged, heart beat was rising and all I could think about was, “don’t screw this up!!”  “Hi, I’m Sean.”  “I’m Ryann, nice to meet you but I have to pee.”  And there she went…  She went her way and I went mine.  Bound and determined I wasn’t going to stop there.  I approached her again and it paid off, we shared laughs, stories, dances, songs, and last but not least numbers!!  It was a fairy tale that i was living!!  At the end of the night my ride was ready to leave so he asked if I was ready, at that time I felt a boot slam into my shin.  She wasn’t ready for me to leave.  So I did what any man would do, didn’t think about how I was getting home, but I stayed.  We danced and laughed some more, carried on like we’d known each other forever….  That was the best decision I’ve even made.

LaCrecia& Jakeem

Date | 7.20.13

Dallas Wedding Photographer| MoormannPhotography

Ceremony Location| Unity Church on Greenville

Reception Location| The Oasis Ballroom

I worked at a grocery store in Dallas. While there I worked with Jakeem’s Brother and he suggested that I talk to his younger brother. I gave him my number to give to Jakeem. Of course, he takes down the WRONG number! The next time I see him, he scolds me for giving him the wrong number. I try to explain that HE is the one who wrote my number incorrectly. Anyways, I gave him the correct number and a picture of myself to give to Jakeem. Apparently, his brother did not trust me, because he goes to the floral department of the store and uses the phone to call my cell, just make sure the number is correct. It was. In the next few days, Jakeem called me and the rest is history.

There was no one enlightening event that told me that Jakeem was “the one.” As we grew up together and our relationship evolved, I just got more evidence of how great he was. I loved the way he held and protected me. He made me feel safe and secure in his arms. I loved the way he was with children and family. I got to a point where I started to think about him before myself because I knew that he was doing the same for me. We are best friends, lovers, teammates and soul mates!

There is not one moment that I fell in love with LaCrecia. I liked the fact that she was very down to earth and very goal oriented.

I had an idea that a proposal was coming but I did not know how, when, or where. I knew Jakeem had been really broke lately. Since the beginning of 2012, he and I had planned to go to Oakland, California for his family reunion. I had never been to California nor had I ever met his extended family. While there, I wanted us to see the sights, so I did a lot of planning to see different tourist attractions in San Francisco. On July 5th 2012, me, Jakeem, his Brother and his wife went on a boat cruise to the Golden Gate Bridge. I was so excited for the day that I had no idea Jakeem was thinking proposal. The boat took us under the bridge and on the way back Jakeem gets on one knee and proposes to me!!! Of course, I start crying immediately. Needless to say, I didn’t pay attention to any more of the tour. I started to call all my family to tell them about the good news. Little did I know, Jakeem had already told everyone! I was the only one who had no idea!

The proposal was 10 months in the planning. I wanted to propose in August of 2011 when we were in Vegas, but I did not want to take away from her birthday. So, I planned to propose when we went to California July 2012. I was nervous taking the ring because I did not want LaCrecia to find out. LaCrecia planned a boat cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge with my brother and Sister-in-law, so I thought “perfect timing.”

I love Jakeem’s optimism! I tend to worry about EVERYTHING and he always keeps me motivated and encouraged.
I love how LaCrecia is always willing and able to help others and me without looking for anything in return.

It was right before Christmas in 2010, we were in Alaska, so it was the perfect winter wonderland; perfect start for our fairytale. We met on the hallways of Bassett Army Community Hospital specifically in the hallway between the Pediatric (which is were I worked) and Immunization clinic (which is where he worked). Our fellow colleague introduced us and the rest is history.

I did not see the proposal coming,  at all. I was just coming home from work and as I opened the door, Will was standing in my kitchen, with candles and rose petals everywhere, slow music playing in the background, dinner at the table one fine day in February, 2012 around Valentines Day.  I could feel some butterflies in the air…from both of us…I was all giggly, it felt like one of our first dates. We admired the northern lights, we were slow dancing, I felt Will’s heart racing, he was sweating…and then there he was, on bended knee…I couldn’t believe it!!!!

Congratulations Laura & Henry!

Engagement Session in the Fort Worth Stockyards

Engagement Session in the Fort Worth Stockyards

Ryann and Sean chose a country themed engagement session.
Therefore we met at the Fort Worth Stockyards. One of my favorite places to shoot. Gorgeous backgrounds and a great country flair.

To make sure there this place isn’t already crowded and we will have the perfect lighting conditions we started the shooting very early.

Here a little sneak peak 🙂

“John and I met at Flips Patio bar on Western Center in Fort Worth on October 01, 2010 on a Friday evening. We started talking and realized we had a lot in common. The next day we went out on our first official date and had dinner at carrabas in Hurst. John proposed on August 17, 2012 at the Reata Restaurant in Fort Worth, very romantic and unexpected. I was very surprised and cried! We had such a great year in 2012 and felt that we came closer together. :-)”
